Manufacturing Timing

From the time that we receive your frames at our lab, lens manufacturing is about 7-10 business days on average.  Our lenses go through a quality inspection process to make sure your lenses pass ANSI standards. If there are any flaws or defects in the lenses, we may have to reorder them, which will delay the manufacturing process and final shipment timing.

Once your lenses pass our quality standards, you will receive a shipment confirmation with a tracking number.

Our free standard shipping is approximately 3-5 business days with UPS Ground.  Expedited shipping is 2 business days with UPS 2nd Day.

Please do not ship anything back before contacting customer service at 941-416-4914.

The customer will be responsible for paying return shipping costs; shipping costs are non-refundable. If we find Today’s Optician to be at fault for the return or exchange, we will provide a return shipping label at no cost to you.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.


1 Year Warranty

We will stand behind every product we sell, and if for any reason it is determined that the lenses are defective (does not cover scratches, or normal wear and tear), for example AR coating crazing, peeling, cracking or delamination, we will replace your lenses for no charge.


We are unable to accept returns on our Rx lens replacement orders. Your Rx lenses are custom created just for you, with your prescription, and specifically for your frames! If you decide to have the lenses remade, the lenses have to be recreated from scratch. These lenses are final sale and are excluded from returns. However, we are still here to help! If you are unhappy with your Rx lenses, contact us for help. We include a 30-day satisfaction guarantee with all Rx purchases. Within 30 days, if you notice your prescription is inaccurate, we will remake your lenses at no charge.

If your lenses were manufactured incorrectly from the prescription provided to Today’s Optician, we will remake your lenses, no questions asked.  If within the first 30 days of receiving the lenses, they are not working for you based on the prescription you provided, you will be responsible for the shipping costs, and we will remake the lenses for you one time, at no charge. We do require a valid RX from your doctor.  You have 30 days from the date you receive your lenses if something is wrong to notify us at

Please include your name, order number and subject line “Change Order.”  We are able to change any order up until your frames arrive at our lab.  We can also cancel an order before your frames arrive at our lab.  We cannot cancel/change an order once your frames reach our lab.  If you want to cancel your order before it arrives at our lab, we will refund your purchase minus $20 for standard shipping, and $30 for expedited shipping.
